Directed by Matthew C. Wilson & Emilia Tapprest and produced by Marta Lillioja, the exhibition is part of the manifestation "The call of the o’o. Nature under pressure." on the second floor of the Allard Pierson.
As Messengers explores how an evolving social imaginary intertwines humans with the biosphere through a cast of characters spanning five alternate timelines, revealing a kaleidoscopic array of speculative “historical bifurcations” of the current biodiversity crisis.
The exhibition is accessible to the public from 19.09.2024 to 26.01.2025.

This project marks my debut in sound recording for documentary and advertisement productions. Freelancing for the esteemed C41.EU®, I had the opportunity to capture interviews and environmental sound around Amsterdam, including the session at Studio Hagel. The production focused on documenting the launch of a new line of ASICS® footwear, crafted from reclaimed materials to reflect the company's commitment to circular design and net-zero emissions.

In autumn 2023, I had the privilege to assist with preproduction and live-streaming for the renowned British acid jazz band Incognito at Little Big Beat Studio. Under the direction of Little Konzett, the studio seamlessly blends traditional analog workflows with cutting-edge live-streaming and immersive audio technologies. Notable for its partnerships with industry leaders like Neumann GmbH, Neutrik, and Sennheiser, the studio delivers an unparalleled experience: audiences enjoy mixes directly from an SSL 4000 G+, while sessions are captured on Studer A800s for converter-less vinyl production.

After collaborating on recording the acoustic drums set for the track, I was in charge to conduct the mixing. Track produced by the Amsterdam-based DJ duo named Upperflow, it presents a large variety of genre and styles influences coming from 80s disco, house, 70s funky together with their unique sparkling signature sound.

Audio department coordinator - Live Mixing - Session Recording
SlimRadio is an Amsterdam-based cultural community aiming to be the platform for international students and young professionals in the Netherlands, fostering creativity through radio broadcasting, workshops, articles, video productions, and live events. Being part of the team as Audio department coordinator from 2021 until 2023, I was dedicated to plan and conduct engaging live music events that would support emerging artists and inspire artistic exploration.

MULTICHANNEL RECORDING FOR DOLBY ATMOS
CLASSICAL RECORDING
As part of my master's thesis, I investigated contemporary multi-channel spatial recording practices, emphasizing the role of traditional stereophonic techniques in capturing a classical string quartet in Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 format. The project included a comparative analysis of an established immersive microphone technique, the 2L-Cube array by Morten Lindberg. To conduct the study, I designed two custom microphone trees and explored subsequent mixing processes using object-based and channel-based audio streams within the Dolby Atmos workflow. The results were evaluated and compared based on feedback from industry professionals, highlighting the strengths and applications of each approach.
